Oriental Dining Tables

Oriental furniture is an umbrella term, encompassing a wide range of furniture styles from the Far East. It includes Indonesian, Japanese, Chinese, Indian and Thai pieces – which can be contemporary, traditional or antique in design.

At 4 Living our oriental dining tables take their influence from ancient China, where black lacquer furniture, made by lacquering a piece seven times, was commonly found in the temples, palaces and homes of the wealthy upper classes. Modern lacquered pieces are varnished in the same way, but are built with cleaner, more contemporary designs.

We offer four different sizes of contemporary style dining table, which are all rectangular in shape. Our popular sizes are designed to sit 4, 6, 8 or 12 people.

Oriental Coffee Tables

Our Oriental coffee tables are low to the ground, creating that all important sense of space in your Oriental style living room. Doubling as a meeting and eating place for the family and friends, our lacquered coffee tables provide plenty of space to comfortably accommodate the family.

Oriental TV Tables

We have created a range of beautiful black lacquered TV tables, built in the oriental design to neatly store your television, video and DVD equipment. With stressed edging and ornate brass handles these quality pieces are designed to match perfectly with other pieces of furniture in the same style whilst working very well as standalone pieces.

Carefully thought out, these stylish storage and display units hide unsightly wires and leads from view and provide ample storage for DVD’s and tapes etc. helping to maintain a tidy, minimalist look. Available in small and large sizes, they have been designed with the modern “flat screen” televisions in mind but have the depth to accommodate the older style, bulkier TV’s too.

The console table is widely used in homes all over the world to provide a raised, flat and level surface upon which can be placed ornaments, pictures, vases, lamps or a telephone. We have designed and created a range of very attractive console tables in the Oriental style, with the same lacquered black or white finish and stressed edging. Our oriental side tables have been created with both the living room and the bedroom in mind since they serve equally well, as bedside or occasional tables.
