Doing business in an environmentally & socially sustainable way is an integral and ongoing part of our mission at 4 Living. We continually evaluate our products and business processes to see where we can make further improvements.
Carbon Dioxide
We will ensure that the carbon footprint of our company is reduced as far as practicable and will offset the remainder through Climate Care certified projects that offset by increasing energy efficiency or renewable energy projects.
Energy
All computers and other office equipment as well as lighting and heating will be switched off when not needed. The remaining energy needed will be offset.
Travel
Staff travel will be minimised and deliveries journeys planned in the most efficient way practicable. The remaining carbon emissions are offset through Climate Care.
Waste
The packaging of our own furniture collections has been made 100% recyclable. We will minimise waste generated from our operations and recycle or re-sue as much as possible.
Supply Chain
Products will be made and distributed in a way to minimise their environmental impact and consideration will be given to the sourcing of raw materials. We will use recycled, reclaimed or other highly sustainable materials as much as possible.
We will actively work with our supply chain partners to improve the environmental and social performance of the supply chain.
Continuous Monitoring & Review
4 Living is committed to ensuring that the environmental impact of its daily operations is minimised wherever possible, and as such will ensure the environmental impact is continually assessed. Measuring and minimising energy and water use and the production of waste and carbon dioxide (CO2).
